If you’re looking for student room in Sheffield, Truro Works is the ideal base to pursue your studies at Sheffield Hallam University or the University of Sheffield. Located just five minutes from both the University of Sheffield and the city centre, living with us means you’re right at the heart of everything you’ll need to make the most of your student experience.
Sheffield is the UK’s fifth largest city and has a reputation for being a fun, safe and easy-going place for students to live and study. Our student rooms are within easy walking distance of lots of exciting places – shops, cafes, pubs, bars, sports facilities, museums and theatres. If you fancy going a little further afield (The Peak District National Park is just 15 minute’s train ride from the city centre), it’s easy to get around thanks to cheap and frequent tram, bus and rail services – with Sheffield railway station just a few minutes’ walk away from your new home. Sheffield is also the greenest city in England, with over 200 parks and more trees per head than any other city in Europe.
There is a lively and distinctive night-time scene, and if you’re staying with us you won’t have far to go to let your hair down (and no expensive cab-rides home, either). The legendary Leadmill is just around the corner, and hosts weekly live music and club nights. The nearby O2 Academy is another popular music venue, less than 10 minutes from the residence, while Plug, Code and Corporation all offer cheap drinks and great music.
Closer to home, our uniquely-designed, grade II listed accommodation for students offers a wide range of spacious, modern and great value student rooms, with all-inclusive bills, free wi-fi, common room, laundry and 24hr security.
